Joe Mullen returns for his 3rd season with 3ICE as Coach of 3ICE Pittsburgh, at city in which he won two of his three Stanley Cups (Calgary the other). Team Mullen fell to 5th in the standings in 2023 after an inaugural season which saw Joey's club dominate the regular season before falling in the Patrick Cup Finals. Despite the loss, Joey was presented with the first-ever Eddie Johnston Coach of the Year Award. As a player, Joe was the first American player to score 500 goals and to accumulate 1,000 points in his career. Despite being undrafted, Mullen spent 16 seasons in the NHL before being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2000. Mullen played with the United States National Team on several occasions, including three Canada Cup tournaments.
